United States – On Wednesday, President Joe Biden will visit the battleground state of Wisconsin to unveil Microsoft Corporation’s (MSFT.O) plan to establish operations in the area. The White House’s creation of a 3 billion high-tech data center will create thousands of jobs.

Revitalizing Racine County

The Microsoft facility to be set up in Racine County in Wisconsin’s southeast is meant to be built on the same grounds where Taiwan electronics manufacturer Foxconn intended to construct a $10 billion factory, which former US President Donald Trump once touted as “the eighth wonder of the world. ” But instead, Foxconn drastically reduced its project, as reported by Reuters.

Investing in the Future

Microsoft’s projects are supposed to create 2,300 workers on the union side and around 2,000 permanent employees in the long term, the White House claimed. The poster referred to 3,900 new jobs that had been created during Biden’s term, and about 1,000 manufacturing jobs were lost during the Trump administration.

In cooperation with Gateway Technical College, Microsoft has come up with a training program aimed to prepare for 1,000 data centers and other positions by 2030, and 1,000 business leaders will train with the adoption of AI in their operations, the White House claims.

“Together, these investments will position the industrial heartland to lead the way in industries of the future,” it said.

Campaign Strategy

Besides being a Democrat, Biden will also be visiting Madison – one of the seven swing states that make him the front-runner in the 2024 presidential elections – to meet with volunteers in Racine’s Black community, contrary to his campaign’s statement.

Biden is vying to consolidate the Black vote ahead of the Nov.  5 re-elections. Polls indicate that he is deadlocked with Trump in a rematch run as a Republican candidate for the first time in 2024 after losing to Biden in 2020.

Trump’s Campaign staff could not be reached for comment by the time of this publication. In 2018, Trump and Walker, the past governor of Wisconsin, laid the groundbreaking shovels for the plant site as politicians called for the new “Wisconn Valley” tech region in the United States.

Political Landscape

Biden will sit down with the volunteers, training campaign managers to utilize the new mobile application, which links the voters to people they know, to ensure votes.

Also, there is a USD 14 million commercial campaign, which includes a USD 1 million ad targeting Black, Latino, and Asian citizens. On Thursday, political opponents plan to present the “Terminate” anti-Trump spot that was about concerns about Trump care, as reported by Reuters.

Biden’s campaign said it would consist of 200 offices and 500 staff members by the end of May, which is already a great start. This was not only part of the growth strategies but also aimed at strengthening the campaign in particular places.
